New training puts distance between HQ and units

MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. — Ten weeks after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, six CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters were launched from the amphibious assault ship Peleliu and traveled nearly 400 miles from the North Arabian Sea before touching down in Afghanistan.
