Obituary for Matthew Christopher "Hollywood" Horn

Matthew Christopher "Hollywood" Horn (SGT USMC Ret.), graduated from MCRD Parris Island, SC in 2003, passed suddenly on Thursday July 30, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a decorated combat infantryman with the United States Marine Corps having served his country at Guantanamo Bay (GITMO), and two Tours of Duty in Iraq. He earned a Purple Heart for wounds received in action in January 2007 from enemy fire. He received the Combat Action Ribbon, Naval Commendation Medal with Combat V, Navy Unit Commendation with Bronze Star, Presidential Certificate of Appreciation, and numerous other military awards. Matthew was a warrior who was tender, helpful, gentle, kind and of a compassionate demeanor.
