New York City soldier Michael Ollis, 24, killed by Afghan rebels

‘Tragically, (Michael) gave his last full measure of devotion in protecting his country, and our freedoms,’ Mayor Bloomberg said. The Staten Island resident, whose family had a military tradition, died Wednesday in Ghani Province in an attack that involved an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.
