Marines veteran makes us proud

The year was 2006 and my family and I were attending the Veterans Day Parade in Fall River, when a veteran came by and gave my 4-year-old daughter a giant American flag. He told us that he was a 30-year veteran from the United States Marine Corps, and that on every Memorial Day and Veterans Day parade, he purchases these flags and hands them out to children along the parade route.
