Rollover alert sought for use on MRAPs

To combat the danger of rollovers, the joint program office that provides Mine resistant vehicles for the Marine Corps and Army is working to field a new detection device that will alert drivers when an MRAP rollover is likely. The aim is to avoid potentially fatal accidents or, in worst-case scenarios, alert passengers that a rollover is imminent so they have time to brace for it.
